The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio shared made a shocking announcement during a parliament session.
Captured in a video that gained visibility on Wednesday, August 9, he concluded its ministerial screening and prepared to adjourn.
During the adjourning process, the Senate President announced that some amount of money had been sent to their bank accounts for the holidays.
He said, “In order to enable all of us to enjoy our holidays, a token has been sent to our various accounts by the clerk of the national assembly.”

However, the atmosphere took a turn when some of his colleagues drew his attention to the fact that the plenary session was being broadcast live on television. In response to the unexpected turn of events, Akpabio swiftly revised his statement.
He rephrased, "I retract my earlier statement."
He then continued, "In the spirit of facilitating a pleasant holiday experience for each of you, the Senate President has extended heartfelt prayers to your email inboxes. These prayers are intended to accompany you on your journeys and ensure your safe return."
