Nigerian activist, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman, did not secure bail from police detention.
Barrister Street, a site focused on political and court case news, revealed that the outspoken social media activist's bail application has been postponed until Monday, June 3, 2024.
The delay occurred after the court failed to convene on Monday, May 27, resulting in Verydarkman's continued imprisonment.
However, a contrasting update from Verydarkman's close pal, blogger Tunde Ednut, has surfaced online. According to Ednut, Verydarkman will be released tomorrow, Thursday, May 30, contradicting previous rumors about the bail hearing being postponed.
The discrepancy between the reports from Barrister Street and Tunde Ednut has confused the actual status of Verydarkman’s release. As of now, it remains unclear whether the activist will be freed on May 30 or if he will have to wait until the new bail hearing date on June 3.
