Portable: Victim ripped me off, fled with my money

Popular social media activist VeryDarkMan has requested that pop artiste Portable be arrested following an incident captured on film.

The incident took place at the Felabration event in Lagos, where Portable and his friends were spotted beating a man, causing uproar online.

According to a source, the video showed Portable and his crew aggressively abusing the victim, prompting considerable outrage.

Defending himself, Portable said the man ripped him off and fled with his money.

In response to the footage, VeryDarkMan turned to Instagram to voice his dismay, posting a video of the victim in the hospital with horrific injuries. The man's head, jaw, and left hand were all bandaged.

According to VDM, some bones in the lad's body were shattered, and his medical bill was over N700,000.

Verydarkman vowed to help the person pay his hospital fees and announced his intention to submit a petition against Portable on the victim's behalf.

He also challenged Portable for threatening him, questioning whether he was aware of who he was up against.

Sharing the video, VDM wrote: “Imagine what Portable did to this helpless guy. Is this fair? Why is he treating him like an animal? Is this even right?” he said in part.

After reaching out to the victim, VeryDarkMan provided an update on the situation, revealing that the man had been hospitalized due to severe injuries sustained during the attack.

He said, “The guy you beat is seriously injured and is in the hospital. The bill is over N700,000. He broke his hand and leg.

"The guy told me that he is scared of his safety. I will write a petition about this. Except if there’s no law in this country, then you will go unpunished. You think you can abuse power because you are a celebrity?" he added.
