Mr Romanus Ejikeme, the father of Mmesoma Ejikeme has apologised over his daughter's UTME fraud.
Mmesoma who was accused by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB of inflating her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Board, UTME result later confessed to committing the accusation.
This is coming after an eight-member panel, led by Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, was assembled to investigate the concerns raised regarding the Mmesoma's inflated UTME results.
Following the outcome of the investigation, Mmesoma was banned from taking the JAMB exam for the next three years.
Romanus Ejikeme admitted that he did not know where his daughter had registered for the examination, but he provided her with the necessary funds.
Previously, Mmesoma's father had vehemently denied that his daughter had falsified her results, stating that she was a diligent and committed student who took her studies seriously.
However, in a rebuttal, Romanus Ejikeme said, "As I mentioned earlier, my daughter did not confide in me promptly. It was only later that I realized the mistake she had made, and I cautioned and pleaded with her not to tarnish her reputation."
He further expressed his remorse and offered apologies to Nigerians and JAMB, seeking their forgiveness for the actions of his daughter.
