UEFA has filed a complaint against Jose Mourinho, the manager of AS Roma, for using derogatory and abusive language before, during, and after his team's defeat to Sevilla in the Europa League final on Thursday.
During the entire Europa League final at Hungary's Puskas Arena Park, Mourinho was furious with referee Anthony Taylor.
After a 1-1 draw and a 4-1 loss on penalties for his team, the former Chelsea and Manchester United boss was upset with Taylor's choices.
According to Sky Sports, UEFA has charged the Portuguese for remarks made towards Taylor.
Although the charge's specifics have not been made public, Mourinho's behavior during the final has received criticism.
In a video that was made public after the game, Mourinho can be seen cursing at Taylor in the stadium's parking lot.
Later, the former coach of Real Madrid and Inter Milan attacked the referee's performance, claiming (per the aforementioned source): "I must say we are used to it, but seeing this kind of refereeing in a European final is really, really hard."
