Tunji-Ojo Lauds Tinubu, Aiyedatiwa Over Ehindero's Victory

POSTED ON February 5, 2024 •   Politics      BY Oluwakemi Ademuyiwa

The Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has expressed his appreciation for the roles played by President Bola Tinubu and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State in the emergence of Ife Ehindero.

Ehindero had emerged as the House of Representatives member-elect for Akoko North-East/North-West Federal Constituency following the constituency's by-election on Saturday.

Tunji-Ojo shared his appreciation in a statement released on Monday in Akure, Ondo state.

The Minister of Interior emphasized the significance of a democratic process where citizens can freely choose their representatives. He commended President Tinubu for fostering an environment conducive to the thriving of democracy in Ondo State and Nigeria at large.

The minister asserted that Ehindero is not only a worthy successor but is also poised to elevate the federal constituency to greater heights through his capable representation.

Tunji-Ojo, who previously represented the constituency in the House of Representatives before his nomination for a ministerial position by Tinubu, celebrated the victory as a continuation of effective and efficient representation by the APC since 2019.

He expressed gratitude to the APC national leadership, led by Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for their unparalleled stewardship. The Minister also acknowledged the dedication and zest of the Ondo State APC executive committee, led by Mr. Ade Adetimehin, for guiding the party to yet another victory.
