The Group Chief Executive Officer of Transcorp, Owen Omogiafo, was elected at a recent meeting of the association's governing council in Lagos as the President of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association.
Valentine Okelu and Misan Eribo were also elected as vice president and secretary, respectively. Omogiafo takes over from Mr Agada Apochi.
In her acceptance speech, Omogiafo expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve the association and pledged to bring her extensive experience in leadership and business transformation to her new role.
She emphasized the importance of building on the foundation laid by previous leaders and highlighted the potential for growth and development despite challenges.
Omogiafo has been influential in driving Transcorp's growth and promoting innovation across its diverse portfolio of companies.
She holds a double honours Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Benin, as well as a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Additionally, she is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and IESE Business School, Spain, and holds memberships in several professional institutes.
