Tottenham Hotspur is in the running to acquire midfielder Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge, heightening Premier League interest in the talented Nigerian player.
Brugge is gearing up for a crucial summer transfer period, with several key players attracting attention from major European teams after a successful 2024/25 season.
Onyedika, whose standout performances in the UEFA Champions League and with the Nigeria national team have boosted his profile, is among the most talked-about prospects, according to Belgian source Voetbalkrant.
While Brugge faces potential departures of multiple players, including Ferran Jutgla, Maxim De Cuyper, and Christos Tzolis, the report highlighted Onyedika as the most in-demand.
Recent reports from Transferfeed also suggest that the 24-year-old has become a prime target for Tottenham Hotspur, which could interfere with a previously reported interest from West Ham United and Serie A's AC Milan.
"Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur has placed Raphael Onyedika on their shortlist," Transferfeed has stated. West Ham had been perceived as frontrunners to secure his services, with negotiations reportedly underway.
The Hammers are seeking a central midfielder, especially since Czech international Tomas Soucek may move on, making Onyedika a suitable replacement. However, Spurs' recent interest may complicate the situation.
Despite being under contract with Brugge until 2027, Onyedika is estimated to be valued at approximately €20m. Brugge appears to be preparing for his potential exit, with reports suggesting they have already targeted a replacement in Hamburg’s Ludovit Reis.
