Veteran Nigerian singer, Tony Tetuila has chastised his former Remedies group member, Eedris Abdulkareem, over claims he made during a recent interview.
During the conversation, Eedris told the story of his journey from grass to grace. He recalls starting with Eddy (Montana) and going to Ilorin to perform.
He stated that it was then that he met Tony Tetuila, who wanted to sing "desperately," so they invited him to join them.
“That was how we became three,” Eedris narrated.
However, Tony Tetuilah did not agree with Eedris' account of their past and he reacted by calling him a liar.
Sharing a video of his reaction to the interview, Tony wrote: “Am highly disappointed in this guy, he is a bloody liar, how could a grown man like this be telling lies,na GOD go punish who dey lie.”
The veteran rapper, Eedris had appeared on the most recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he made several revelations.
Abdulkareem admitted that his rebellion affected his career, but said it was a beautiful sacrifice that paved the way for the likes of Burna Boy, Wizkid, David, and others who are enjoying global recognition and benefiting from it.
According to Eedris, he led the revolution against the poor treatment of Nigerian artists by show promoters in 2004 when he clashed with American rapper 50 Cent and his G-Unit members in Nigeria which is why Nigerian artists are now being respected worldwide.
Even his comedy counterparts were not spared as he slammed Seyi Law for supporting the current presidential regime amidst the looming economic hardship.
