Tinubu To Ring Nasdaq Closing Bell In Us

POSTED ON November 8, 2023 •   Uncategorized      BY Segun Adewole •   VIEWS 416
The United States Chamber of Commerce has extended an invitation to President Bola Tinubu to ring the closing bell at the NASDAQ on Wednesday, September 20. NASDAQ, or the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations, stands as a prominent stock exchange based in New York, ranking as the second-largest by market capitalization in the U.S. after the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The ringing of the closing bell traditionally marks the conclusion of a trading session. The Chamber of Commerce revealed in a statement on Monday that this symbolic ceremony would occur on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) at the NASDAQ headquarters in New York. The organization emphasized that this event carries deep significance, symbolizing the economic ties binding the United States and Nigeria. The statement from the US Chamber of Commerce read, "We hope this celebration and the discussion as part of the U.S.-Nigeria Executive Business Dialogue serve to further strengthen economic ties and enhance collaboration between the U.S. and Nigerian business communities." The United States Chamber of Commerce is recognized as the world's largest business organization, representing companies of all sizes across various sectors of the economy. Its membership ranges from small businesses and local chambers of commerce to leading industry associations and large corporations.
