President Bola Tinubu has once again waded into the political crisis in Rivers State.
Tinubu resolved the crisis at a closed-door meeting with the former governor and current governor of the state, Peter Odili, Siminalayi Fubara and other stakeholders.
The meeting's agenda held today at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja was not made public.
However, it might be connected to the December 11 incident - that saw the exodus of 27 of the House Assembly into the All Progressive Congress.
Of the 30 Legislators in the Rivers Assembly, the 27 that exited the Peoples Democratic Party for APC were allegedly Wike's Loyalists.
Nyesom Wike the current Minister of Abuja and ex-governor of the state had been in a face-off with his predecessor, Fubara.
Wike had accused Fubara of disloyalty and distorting the political structures in the State.
To resolve the crisis, an 8-point resolution was made to quell the heightened political climax in Rivers State.
Listed below are the eight resolutions made:
1) All matters instituted by the Governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara and his team with respect to the political crisis in the State shall be withdrawn immediately.
