ABUJA, Nigeria - President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called for an immediate end to the ongoing violence in various regions of the country.
During a meeting with the leaders of the nation's security and intelligence agencies at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, the president expressed that "enough is enough."
The meeting included National Security Adviser (NSA) Malam Nuhu Ribadu; Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Mohammed Mohammed; Chief of Defence Intelligence Major-General Emmanuel Undianeye; Director-General of the State Security Service (SSS) Oluwatosin Ajayi; and Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila.
After the meeting, the NSA informed State House correspondents that President Tinubu had allocated several hours for the security chiefs to brief him on the current situation. Ribadu described the discussions as “very detailed, exhaustive, and complete from A to Z.”
He further mentioned that the president has remained actively engaged with national developments, even while overseas.
"He was in constant communication, issuing directives and monitoring situations. This time, we were able to meet with him for hours and provided a thorough briefing. We also received new instructions from him," he stated.
