Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo celebrated his 66th birthday today, and President-elect Bola Tinubu sent him a message of congratulations (Wednesday).
The announcement from Tinubu comes a week after Osinbajo congratulated him on winning the presidential election on February 25.
In a statement sent by Tinubu's media representative, Tunde Rahman, the former governor of Lagos State praised Osinbajo's leadership abilities and career achievements.
The message read in part, "I rejoice and celebrate with our Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, on the accomplishment of 66 today. Since he worked beside me in Lagos as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Professor Osinbajo has distinguished himself as a brilliant scholar in public service. He spearheaded our administration's reforms of the justice system and made significant contributions to its success.
“On this special day, I join his immediate family, friends, and political associates to wish him continuous good health. Many happy returns dear Professor Osinbajo.”
