Daniel Bwala, a former spokesman for the defunct Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, said President Bola Tinubu could rescue abducted schoolchildren in Kaduna within 15 days.
Bwala made the statement during an interview on Arise Television on Friday.
“The president can recover these children within 15 days,” Bwala said. “He should instruct the service chiefs to ensure their rescue within that timeframe, or he should relieve them of their duties.”
The comments follow the abduction of 280 students and staff members from a school in Kuriga, Kaduna state, during school hours last Thursday. The kidnappers reportedly demanded a ransom of 1 billion naira.
In a separate incident, terrorists kidnapped 16 students from a Qur’anic school in Sokoto state and demanded 20 million naira in ransom.
