Timi Frank Urges The Supreme Court To Use The Election Tribunal To Improve Its Reputation

APC spokesperson Timi Frank

Timi Frank, a former APC deputy national publicity secretary, praised the Supreme Court for its decision regarding the Naira Swap Policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Frank referred to the Supreme Court's decision ordering the use of obsolete bank notes till December 2023 as a sound decision in a press release on Sunday that was made available to journalists in Abuja.

Given the disgrace that these absurd rulings have brought to Nigeria, where it now appears that "court judgment is for the highest bidder," he claimed that the judiciary's need to restore its reputation has become vital.

The Supreme Court's recent decisions, particularly the one that gave Godswill Akpabio the Senate seat, Frank claimed, have caused Nigerians to lose faith in the legal system.

Also, he questioned the court's decision affirming Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan as Senate President, who he said did not vote in the Yobe North APC senatorial primary.

Both Lawan and Akpabio bemoaned their election as senators after the Supreme Court made them both instant candidates.

Frank, the ULMWP's ambassador to East Africa and the Middle East, claimed that Nigerians no longer have faith in the judicial system.
