Three people tragically lost their lives in an early morning accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near Mowe on Saturday.
The incident involved a container falling off a truck and crushing the occupants of another vehicle.
According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the accident occurred around 1:07 AM and involved two trucks.
A container fell from a truck with license plate T-1563LA, landing on a Howo truck with no visible registration plate.
Three male adults in the Howo truck, including the driver, were fatally injured by the fallen container.
The FRSC rescue team attempted to save the victims, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The deceased were transported to the Idera Morgue in Sagamu.
Authorities attributed the accident to dangerous driving and loss of control of the truck carrying the container. A tow truck and crane were called in to clear the wreckage and ease traffic flow.
