The General Overseer, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr Daniel Olukoya, has said there's a bright future for Nigeria despite the numerous challenges confronting her.
The cleric said this during an interview section at the MFM's 35th anniversary in Lagos.
He stressed the need for Nigerians to be steadfast in prayers for divine intervention.
He said, “There is a bright future for Nigeria. If you look at the map of Africa, it resembles a gun, with Nigeria positioned where the trigger is held. This is no coincidence—God has a plan for Nigeria. I am a steadfast believer in one Nigeria."
The 35th anniversary convention, titled, ‘Power from on high, ‘ started on August 16 and ended on Sunday, August 18, with a Thanksgiving and Holy Communion service, held at the Prayer City, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The GO said, “Divine intervention is what we need; we must pray for it. As the songwriter says, ‘The arm of flesh may fail you,’ and our hard work alone might not be enough, but with God, all things are possible. The Bible reminds us that ‘Except the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain that build it.’ You could gather resources and still find yourself unable to use them.
“We need the Lord to lay His hands upon our nation and our leaders, guiding them to make the right decisions that will benefit the people of Nigeria.”
While presenting gift awards to 492 first-class graduate church members during the service, Olukoya said the initiative started in 2011 to encourage the youths in the church to work harder for excellence.
He advised students to view the awards as a challenge to work harder, to surpass the best, and to become the best.
