ABUJA, Nigeria - The team from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), led by Executive Secretary Sonny Echono, recently visited the headquarters of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) in Abuja.
This working visit was aimed at fostering strategic collaboration and coincided with the recent declaration by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who announced TETFund's renewed focus on restoring infrastructure in tertiary institutions at both state and federal levels.
The NILDS is a body of the National Assembly dedicated to promoting a dynamic and effective Legislature in Nigeria across Federal, State, and Local levels, as well as the ECOWAS region.
The TETFund team was welcomed by NILDS Director General, Prof. Abubakar Sulaiman, who expressed enthusiasm for the potential collaboration between the two organizations. Through its initiatives, NILDS works to enhance the capabilities of legislators and their staff to perform their duties more effectively, while TETFund offers financial support for educational facilities and infrastructural improvements.
