Nigerian singer Tems has revealed insights about her collaboration with American diva Beyoncé on her 2022 album "Renaissance."
In an interview with the New York Times, Tems described her first disbelief and exhilaration when she learned about the possibility.
During her chat with Culture Reporter Reggie Ugwu, Tems described receiving a communication from her team that demanded rapid action.
“My team just messaged me like, ‘Yo, first of all, I have to send you something to sign.’ I was losing my mind. Like, What?!” she said.
The singer added that the mail contained a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which she needed to sign before proceeding.
After signing the NDA, Tems said that she was invited to Los Angeles to work in the studio.
The collaboration resulted in the track "Move," which appears on Beyoncé's Grammy-nominated album "Renaissance."
