Nigerian songstress, Tems' 2020 debut EP 'For Broken Ears' has sold over 500,000 copies in the US and earned an RIAA gold certification.
Tems is the first female artist from Nigeria to get an RIAA-certified project thanks to her incredible accomplishment.
The seven-track extended playlist "For Broken Ears," which was released in 2020, included the hit songs "Free Mind" and "Higher," both of which saw enormous success in the US.
Tems would go on to become a worldwide phenomenon after becoming well-known throughout the world thanks to her successful collaboration with Nigerian megastar Wizkid on the song "Essence."
In the US, her tracks "Higher" and "Free Mind" would achieve remarkable popularity; the latter would spend several weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.
The talented songstress joins Rema and Wizkid as the only Nigerian artists with RIAA-certified projects. Wizkid's fourth album 'Made In Lagos' and Rema's debut album 'Raves & Roses' have both certified RIAA gold.
