Former Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, has urged leaders in the country to collaborate and relax harsh economic policies which had plunged the citizens into hardship and rescue the nation from collapse.
Tambuwal, who is representing Sokoto South Senatorial District in the Senate, said this at the Pmade this call while speaking at the Peoples Democratic Party congress, in Sokoto.
According to him, “Nigeria is on the brink; our country is in the Intensive Care Unit, as we all know what is happening in the country.
“The level of insecurity in this country is alarming; the level of poverty is disgusting and the level of economic malaise in Nigeria is very worrisome.
“All of us, as leaders of this country, must come together, work together, especially those who are not part and parcel of what is happening today in terms of governance, in terms of running this country.
“We must work together and make sure that through democratic process, we rescue this country in 2027.
“All of us that are not happy with what is happening in the country, we must come together, work together so that our country can be reclaimed on the path of unity, progress and development,” he added.
