The Super Eagles of Nigeria secured a 3-2 victory over Mozambique in a friendly match, breaking a five-year winless streak in friendly games.
Mozambique took an early lead seven minutes into the game with a goal from Geny Catamo, which raised concerns that Nigeria's poor record in friendly matches might continue.
Terem Moffi, who plays for OGC Nice, scored from close range 13 minutes later to bring the score level for the Super Eagles.

Frank Onyeka of Brentford scored at the half-hour mark from the edge of the box, putting Nigeria ahead with a score of 2-1.
Mozambique was reduced to ten players after a foul on Joe Aribo in the 37th minute.
Nigeria extended their lead with a penalty kick taken by Simon Moses after Mozambique's player handled Fisayo Dele-Bashiru's free-kick.
Mozambique managed to score, reducing the deficit, with Faisal Abdul Bangal beating Francis Uzoho in the near goal.
Sadiq Umar, a striker for Real Sociedad, had two goals disallowed for offside in the 70th and 84th minutes.
The Super Eagles managed to hold off Mozambique's efforts to secure a 3-2 victory. This win marked their first victory in a friendly match since March 2019, breaking a streak of seven losses and eight draws in the intervening period.
A big one for Jose Peseiro, who was
employed as the Super Eagles coach in 2022.
