La Liga president Javier Tebas expressed strong confidence that French striker Kylian Mbappe will be donning the Real Madrid jersey next season.
The announcement comes after Mbappe confirmed his departure from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at the end of his contract this summer.
In an interview with the Argentine newspaper Ole, Tebas stated, "He's [Mbappe] Madrid's next season, yes." He further emphasized the potential of Real Madrid's star-studded squad, which includes Brazilian sensation Vinicius Junior and English midfielder Jude Bellingham, alongside Mbappe.
While Mbappe's potential move to Real Madrid has been a subject of speculation for years, Tebas' remarks add further fuel to the rumors. Mbappe, PSG's all-time top scorer with 256 goals, has been a key player for the French club, securing six league titles during his tenure. However, the Champions League trophy has remained elusive for the striker.
Joining Real Madrid, a record 14-time Champions League winner, could provide Mbappe with the opportunity to finally achieve European glory.
Tebas acknowledged the talent within Real Madrid's ranks but cautioned that a strong squad doesn't guarantee success, stating, "Madrid will have a great squad. But that does not guarantee you will win leagues."
Mbappe's potential move to Real Madrid is expected to be a significant transfer in the football world, with fans and pundits eagerly awaiting official confirmation from both the club and the player.
