South Sudan's basketball team nearly pulled off an upset against the United States' NBA superstars on Saturday, ultimately losing 101-100 in a warm-up for the Olympic Games in London.
The US was down by 14 points at halftime, but LeBron James led a comeback with 23 points, including a crucial score in the final 20 seconds.
Anthony Davis contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds for the US. South Sudan, ranked 33rd in the world, saw Marial Shayok score 25 points and Carlik Jones with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.
The two teams are set to face each other again in the pool stages of the upcoming Paris Olympics starting on Friday.
