Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, a popular Nigerian artist, has given fans a possible reason for his hospitalization.
Wizkid was hospitalized on Tuesday, December 19, due to an unexplained health issue.
The Grammy winner announced this on his Instagram page, where he posted a photo of himself receiving a drip from a hospital bed.
Big Wiz captioned his hospital photo, "Re-Up Bxtch."
However, the singer has not revealed why he was hospitalized, but in a subsequent post, Machala implied that he had eaten fraudulent substances, which could have created health difficulties.
Wizkid wrote, “Fake Igbo dey, fake yansh dey.”
Wizkid is still distraught about the death of his mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun.
The highly regarded vocalist, who is due to release an EP titled 'S2' on Friday, December 22nd, took to Instagram Stories to reveal the tracklist for the record.
Wizkid recalled a painful incident when he wrote one of the songs, 'Idk,' which includes Zlatan Ibile, a few days after his mother died.
He went on to say that life has been meaningless for him since she died, but he has remained strong.
He said: “Made idk days after I lost my mum. Life’s been meaningless! But we dey!”
