The Vice President, Kashim Shettima promises a handsome reward for the Super Eagles following their triumphant victory over the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
The Vice President met with the players after the match in Cote d'ivoire and assured them of rewards from the Federal Government for their exceptional performance.
In a statement shared on their official X handle early Thursday, the Super Eagles revealed that Vice President Shettima conveyed the government's pledge during a visit to the team in their dressing room.
"The Federal Government has promised to reward the Super Eagles for their commitment and dedication in reaching the final of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivore," the statement declared.
During the visit, Vice President Shettima, accompanied by Governors Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State and Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State, along with other dignitaries including Minister for Youths, Dr. Jamila Ibrahim, oil mogul Wale Tinubu, FIFA Council member Amaju Pinnick, and NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, expressed pride in the team's achievement.
