Otunba Subomi Balogun, the founder of First City Monument Bank (FCMB), was laid to rest on Saturday in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
The town of Ijebu Ode was filled with distinguished guests who came to pay their respects to the late 89-year-old Olori Omo Oba of Ijebuland.
The funeral service commenced at 10 am at the Cathedral Church of Our Saviour in Ijebu Ode, followed by a private family interment.
Prominent Nigerians who bid farewell to the FCMB chairman included Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Head of State Gen. Yakubu Gowon (retd), and the governors of Ogun and Lagos States, Dapo Abiodun and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, respectively, among others.
Otunba Subomi Balogun, a billionaire businessman, passed away in London on May 18 at the age of 89.
