Colombian Songstress, Shakira has been confirmed to perform in the 2024 Copa America Final.
On Sunday, July 14, the multi-award-winning singer will perform during halftime of the showpiece final at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
This was announced by Alejandro Domínguez, president of CONMEBOL, in a statement on Tuesday.
He said “Shakira is an extraordinary South American star who has dazzled the entire world,”
“We are sure that her performance at the Copa América USA 2024 will enhance the message of healthy passion and unity through sport,” he added.
Shakira had previously performed at significant worldwide events, including the Super Bowl and three World Cups.
The 2024 Copa America final will be played between the winners of tonight's semifinal (Argentina vs Canada) and the other semifinal on Wednesday (Uruguay vs Colombia).
54,000 people are anticipated to attend the final.
