Hip-hop Singer Diddy has been put to jail to await trial in his federal s3x trafficking case, after a judge ordered him kept without bail until his trial.
On Tuesday, the music mogul pleaded not guilty to racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.
He is being inducted for enticing female victims and male sex workers into drugged-up days-long sexual displays known as "Freak Offs."
The indictment also mentioned an attack on his former girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie, that was caught on film.
On Tuesday, September 17, a federal judge in New York ruled that the music mogul would be held behind bars for his arraignment, rejecting Combs' attorneys' bail suggestion.
Combs was accused of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution in a federal indictment that was unsealed.
During the arraignment, prosecutors said that Combs had drugs in the hotel room where he was arrested on Monday, September 16.
Combs' attorneys have offered a $50 million bail package, including a $50,000 bond for the Bad Boy Records founder.
But U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky sided with the government because prosecutors wanted him imprisoned.
“Not guilty,” Combs told a court, standing to speak after listening to the allegations with his uncuffed hands folded in his lap.
The rapper, 54, was led out of court without being handcuffed.
“Mr. Combs physically and sexually abused victims for decades. He used the vast resources of his company to facilitate his abuse and covered up his crimes. Simply put, he is a serial abuser and a serial obstructor,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson told a court.
