Seun Kuti, a Grammy-nominated afrobeat musician, has spoken out for the first time since being let out from police custody.
The musician was granted bail on Tuesday, according to Rocket Parrot, after being arrested at the State Criminal, Investigations, and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Yaba, Lagos, at the direction of a Yaba Chief Magistrate Court for assaulting a police officer.
Shortly after being freed, Kuti thanked everyone who had supported him during his experience on his Instagram story.
"I want to say a profound thanks to everyone who showed me all this love," he stated in his letter. all of my buddies that came! I want to thank my lovely wife, @chefyeidekuti, most of all.
