The senator representing Delta North senatorial district in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Ned Nwoko, has called on the people of Delta North to be security cautious.
Nwoko gave the advice during a stakeholders meeting in Asaba, the Delta State capital, during the official unveiling of his constituency office.
The senator, urged his constituency to defend themselves with legal weapons.
He said, “You have sent me to represent you, and I’m willing and ready to meet the needs of the people of Delta North, which has led me to unveil the campaign office housing nine local government areas of the state.
“The number of citizens is increasing every day, the security agencies do not have the capacity to secure every nook and cranny, so security is everybody’s business.
“The state has failed to protect Nigerians, we have about 200,000 policemen in the entire country of the over 200 million people and that is grossly inadequate.
“So, there is need for the masses to have legal weapons for the purpose of self- defence as security is everybody’s concern.
He promised to attract more dividends of democracy to the people of Anioma nation for their trust in his leadership.
