Music mogul, Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been taken off suicide watch at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, following his arrest on a federal sex trafficking indictment.
Recall that authorities issued the suicide watch because Combs' mental health and shock upon his arrest were unclear.
The Grammy-winning performer, 54, is 'focused and very strong' while his detention, 'concentrating on his defense and preparing for his trial,' according to a source on his legal team.
According to a law enforcement source, Combs, 54, has gotten visits from relatives during his nearly two weeks in detention.
The rapper, who was brought into prison September 16 in connection with a sex trafficking and racketeering case, is scheduled to appear in court early next month.
Combs was rocked with new sexual assault charges last Friday, when a woman filed a lawsuit in New York, claiming she was repeatedly raped and drugged at the music mogul's mansions and fell pregnant as a result of one of the encounters.
The case was filed against Combs, his companies, and many associates, and it wants undisclosed compensation for bodily injuries, severe emotional distress, embarrassment, anxiety, and other damages. A lawyer for Combs, his firm, and one of his representatives did not immediately respond to emails seeking comment on Friday.
Combs is still held without bond in New York on federal allegations that he oversaw a massive network that facilitated sexual crimes and committed horrifying acts of violence, using extortion and other measures to protect Combs and those close to him.
He pleaded not guilty to racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. His attorney said he is innocent and will fight to clear his name.
