Schneider Electric Initiate Anti-Counterfeit Campaign In Lagos Market

Schneider Electric, a leading company in energy management and automation, has launched a campaign at Alaba International Market, Ojo, Lagos, to combat the proliferation of counterfeit products.

According to a statement from the company, the campaign aims to raise awareness about the presence of fake Schneider Electric items and to ensure that consumers are well-informed about the importance of safety, reliability, and authenticity.

The market roadshow was attended by key personnel including Omobolanle Omotayo, Marketing Communications Manager; Nurudeen Oyedeji, Channels Sales Director; Obinna Uche, Retail Sales Specialist; Oluwamuyiwa Akinmejiwa, the Sales Director, and other staff.

The primary objective of this campaign is to educate customers about the existence of counterfeit products and to guide them in identifying authorized resellers and distributors.

Omobolanle pointed out that customers can identify authorized resellers by looking for Schneider Electric signage and by noting the price difference between counterfeit and original products.

Nurudeen Oyedeji, Channels Sales Director for Schneider Electric in Anglophone West Africa, emphasized the crucial importance of end-users purchasing from authorized resellers.

Nurudeen emphasized that buying counterfeit products has serious consequences, including no product warranty, low quality, lack of durability, health and safety risks, and harm to the environment. It also leads to unnecessary expenses for repairs and financial loss.

He urged all Schneider Electric customers to only purchase from authorized resellers and distributors in the Alaba market to avoid the negative impact of counterfeit products.

He highlighted that this initiative demonstrates Schneider Electric's proactive approach to fighting counterfeit products and ensuring that customers receive the high-quality and reliable solutions they expect.
