Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has identified Real Madrid's rising star, Jude Bellingham, as a frontrunner for future Ballon d'Or honors. The 20-year-old midfielder has made a remarkable impact at Real Madrid, currently leading the scoring charts in La Liga, and Rooney sees immense potential in his trajectory.
Bellingham's stellar start to his career with the Spanish giants has not gone unnoticed, with Rooney, an experienced figure in the football world, expressing confidence in the young talent's ability to clinch the prestigious Ballon d'Or in the coming years.
“If he keeps doing what he’s doing, then why not? Again, we’ve gone through that cycle of Messi and Ronaldo where they’ve dominated. I’m sure there will be five or six players fighting to try and win the next one. I’m sure if he keeps doing what he’s doing, he’ll be right up there,” Rooney told Sky Sports.
