Award Winning singer, Divine Ikubor, known popularly as Rema, has been confirmed to perform at this year's BRIT Awards, the most prestigious music awards ceremony in the UK.
The organizers announced on their social media pages on Thursday.
BRIT Awards wrote via X; “Stay calm, @heisrema will be performing at the #BRITs 2024. “let’s gooooooo,”
Rema will become the second Nigerian artiste to perform at the Brit Awards. Burna Boy performed at the award ceremony in 2018.
Recall that Burna Boy and Asake were nominated in the star-studded International Artist of the Year category while Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ was nominated in the highly coveted International Song of the Year category at the 2024 Brit Awards.
Dua Lipa was the first artist confirmed to perform at the ceremony on the 24th of January. On January 30, Raye was announced as the second performer. Also on the 12th of February, Kylie Minogue was announced as the recipient of the 2024 Global Icon Award and was revealed to be performing at the ceremony.
The BRIT Awards 2024 with Mastercard will take place on Saturday 2nd March, continuing its primetime slot on ITV1 and ITVX, live from The O2 arena, following the huge success of the 2023 show moving to the weekend for the first time in BRIT history.
The record-breaking Chinese Award winner has also performed at the 2023 Ballon d'Or Awards which took place took place on Monday, 30 October 2023 inside the Théâtre du Châtelet.
The 23-year-old now joins Burna Boy and Davido as top Nigerian artists who have performed at big international events.
