American Rapper Snoop Dogg will be a torch bearer for the Paris Olympics before the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony will be held on Friday, July 26, with approximately 10,000 athletes gathered aboard boats in the Seine River.
Before the ceremony begins, rapper Snoop Dogg will carry a torch through the Paris district Saint-Denis, the mayor said on X.
Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., will perform the honor on Friday, with French actress Laetitia Casta and French rapper MC Solaar also carrying the torch.
"I grew up watching the Olympics and I am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris," he said.
"It's a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness."
