The businessman and former governorship candidate of Lagos State gubernatorial election, Babatunde Gbadamosi has criticized Nollywood actress Funke Akindele for her recent comments against Sade Balogun.
This violent outburst follows Funke's previous comments at an event, where she praised Sade Balogun—formerly Sade Gbadamosi—as the driving force behind her success in the entertainment sector.
In her passionate address, Funke described critical instances when Sade backed her, most notably during the making of her renowned TV series, Jenifa's Diary, as well as her financial support for the hit film Omo Ghetto: The Saga.
However, Gbadamosi's response shattered the story, as he described how his sister intervened to influence his decisions about the actress and her engagement in his commercial activities.
He recalled considered selecting comedian Ayo Makun, also known as AY, the ambassador for Amen Estate, but changed his mind after his sister spoke with Funke on a celebrity visit.
Gbadamosi wrote in parts; “I blame my younger sister, @iyaeto for @Funkeakindele’s nauseating ingratitude and shameless lies. I was going to give the Amen Estate ambassadorship to AY.
“My sister started pressuring me to give her the ambassador role, since she was our “àbúrò” from back home. That she was married to Abdul-Rasheed Bello, aka JJC Skillz, also counted in her favour, because I had been a big fan of his since around 2003,”
With a fierce determination to set the record straight, Gbadamosi vehemently asserted that it was he, not Sade, who financed Ọmọ Ghetto: The Saga
