The Nigerian Police Force's National Cybercrime Center (NPF-NCCC) has finally confirmed the arrest of Linus Williams, also known as Blord, the CEO of the Blord Group of Companies, on charges of cryptocurrency fraud, internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and noncompliance with regulatory frameworks.
ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrest in an official statement posted on his X page.
The FCID (NPF-NCCC) is now conducting an inquiry into several Blord-related enterprises, including Blord Real Estate Ltd, Blord Jetpaye Limited, and Billpoint Technology.
The statement read: “ALLEGED FRAUD, VIOLATION OF CBN ACT, POLICE INTERROGATES CEO BLORD GROUP OF COMPANIES, LINUS WILLIAMS
The FCID (NPF-NCCC) is currently investigating complaints lodged against BLORD GROUP, BLORD REAL ESTATE LTD, BLORD JETPAYE LIMITED, and BILLPOINT TECHNOLOGY. These offences include allegations bothering on cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.
