American singer Justin Timberlake has been arrested in New York.
According to speculation, the singer was arrested on Monday night in the Hamptons town of Sag Harbor, New York.
According to Newsday, a police spokesperson verified Timberlake's arrest and a Sag Harbor Justice Court official confirmed the charges for driving while intoxicated (DWI).
According to a statement from the Suffolk County district attorney's office, the pop singer is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday (today).
This comes amid Timberlake’s ‘The Forget Tomorrow World Tour.’
He is scheduled to perform two nights in Chicago this weekend, and two shows in New York City next week.
He last performed Saturday at the Kaseya Centre in Miami and has two concerts scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the United Centre in Chicago followed by back-to-back shows next Tuesday and Wednesday at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
