The Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has advised drivers in the state against indiscriminate parking on the highways and internal roads in order to buy petrol.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Ota, Ogun, Mr. Ahmed Umar, the Sector Commander of the FRSC, issued the caution.
Due to the Federal Government's elimination of the gasoline subsidy, Umar spoke against the backdrop of a fuel shortage.
In order to prevent traffic congestion throughout the state, he claimed that motorists needed to be warned.
"The sector commander advised drivers to maintain order and make sure they did not create more than two lanes when purchasing fuel.
In order to prevent jeopardizing their lives and the lives of others, Umar also warned drivers against keeping jerry cans in their cars, stating that "this is a dangerous act."
