Enugu State's new governor, Barr Peter Mbah, has taken the oath of office.
At around 11:50 on Monday morning, Mbah took the oath of office at Enugu's Michael Okpara Square.
Justice A. Ozoemena, Enugu State's chief judge, gave the oath.
A few minutes earlier, Barr Ifeanyi Ossai, his deputy, took the oath of office.
Along with his deputy, Barr Cecelia Ezeilo, the immediately preceding Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi attended the occasion.
Senator Jim Nwobodo, a former governor of Anambra State, former governors Barr Sullivan Chime and Chukwuka Utazi, and the Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi, among others, were among the dignitaries in attendance.
