Pept: Tribunal Rejects Eu Report Presented By Peter Obi

The European Union Election Observers Mission, EU report regarding the presidential election held on February 25 has been dismissed.

In the ongoing presidential election tribunal, the five-man panel of judges ruled out the EU report for lack of merit. The report was presented as evidence by Peter Obi and the Labour Party but faced rejection by the court. The tribunal stated that it declined to admit the report due to the fact that it was not submitted by an official representative of the organization, which is the recognized author and custodian of the document. Also, the court also ruled against the submission of 18,088 blurred results sheets that were presented by the petitioners. The decision was based on the grounds that these sheets could not be linked to any specific polling units, and the petitioners failed to specify the exact polling units to which the results sheets pertained. It's noteworthy that the original copy of the EU Election Observers Mission report had previously been tendered by Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party during their proceedings before the tribunal.
