President Bola Tinubus' National Youth Services Corp and Chicago University certificate has been admitted by the presidential election tribunal.
Submitted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, the document reportedly revealed different names under which Tinubu had registered with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The documents admitted by the court included a B.Sc. certificate from Chicago State University, an NYSC Discharge Certificate, and a certificate of service from Mobil Nigeria Oil Plc.
The submission of these documents took place on Friday, with the PDP presenting a subpoenaed witness, Mike Enahoro Ebah, Esq., to testify.
Ebah noted that the documents were allegedly obtained by Tinubu, but interestingly, they bore the name 'Bola Adekunle Tinubu'.
During the proceedings, the witness, led by PDP counsel Chris Uche, SAN, also tendered forms EC13 and EC9 nomination forms, along with letters written to INEC as attachments.
This development comes as part of the ongoing legal battle surrounding the presidential election, with the PDP raising concerns about Tinubu's eligibility and the accuracy of the information provided to INEC.
The court will now carefully examine the submitted records and relevant attachments as it proceeds with the case. This latest revelation adds a new dimension to the election petition, potentially impacting the outcome of the court proceedings.
