The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has demanded a reassessment of all policies impacting citizens in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, in Abuja on Friday.
The party called on the government to lower the costs of fuel, electricity tariffs, and fees for essential services.
It additionally urged President Bola Tinubu to utilize his remaining two years in office to enhance the welfare of Nigerians, reflecting the call for selflessness and obedience to God’s will as highlighted by the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The PDP also requested prayers for divine guidance in the nation's affairs while encouraging Nigerians to stay patriotic and strengthen their faith in God's unwavering love, kindness, and provision.
The party urged citizens to remain hopeful despite the ongoing economic, security, and social difficulties facing the country
“The PDP encourages Nigerians not to lose hope but to remain patriotic, continue supporting each other during these challenging times, and pray consistently for divine intervention in the nation's matters,” the statement read.
It called on leaders to take this Eid-el-Kabir occasion to embrace the fear of God, address security issues, combat corruption, and retrieve all misappropriated funds.
“Such recovered funds should be allocated for critical infrastructure improvement, revitalizing the productive sector, and enhancing the efficiency of our security agencies,” the party affirmed.
It extended greetings to Nigerians and wished everyone a joyful Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
