Show promoter Paulo Okoye believes that 2024 will be a challenging year for Afrobeat music.
In an Instagram post, Paulo stated that, aside from Davido and Burna Boy, who have only performed a few performances this year, other artists are in serious difficulties. According to him, either the other performers overpriced themselves or their tickets did not sell, placing them at a disadvantage.
He urged the various Afrobeat singers to cut their costs.
He Wrote: "2024 will be tough tough year for Afrobeats, Apart from two artsts this year ( Burna Boy and Davido) They did shows, Others are in trouble, either they are overpriced or they are not selling hmmm.
Let us not do what happened to Reggae musicians, Reduce your prices...Just Think...How Many shows did you do this year?"
