Omoyole Sowore, the AAC's presidential candidate for the general election of 2023, rejected President Muhammadu Buhari's apologies to Nigerians as his term came to an end.
Buhari had pleaded with Nigerians on Friday to forgive him, especially those he might have harmed while performing his duty.
In a tweet on his Twitter account, Sowore responded to Buhari's apology by listing several reasons why the president might never be forgiven.
Sowore claimed that the president's unfavorable policies dehumanized Nigerians in addition to harming the nation.
The opportunities that President Buhari "crushed" will "continue to hunt and haunt" him forever, he said.
"You denied Nigerians the opportunity to live decent lives, and you deprived children, women, and men of all ages the chance to live and prosper.
"You destroyed businesses, you killed innocent people, you wrecked the educational system, and you denied the sick and elderly the chance to receive medical care." You detained and jailed a lot of people unfairly.
"You promoted violence where you were unable to engage in it yourself. You sowed discord via racism and religious intolerance. You, your family, friends, and other cabal members committed untold corruption," Sowore tweeted.
