Nigerian music icon, Onyeka Onwenu, will be buried today (Friday) in Lagos.
The music artiste died on July 30, 2024, at Reddington Hospital in Ikeja, after collapsing during a function honoring Dr Stella Okoli, Managing Director of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
She died, aged 72.
According to CKN News, the family has declared that the funeral will be held at the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, followed by a private burial in an Ikoyi mausoleum.
A funeral poster also claimed that the Service of Songs is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with the burial following from 2-4 pm.
Onyeka Onwenu was not only a talented musician with several successes, but also a broadcaster, actor, politician, and activist.
She is survived by two sons.
