Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury were set to fight on December 23, but after his closely contested match with Francis Ngannou, it looks likely to be delayed until early next year.
Fury sustained some injuries during his fight with Francis Ngannou.
The British fighter won the Cameroonian in a split decision.
Usyk has said that he is willing to fight Fury in any country, but he has expressed a preference for Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia has hosted several major sporting events in recent years, including the Formula One Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and the WWE Crown Jewel event.
"It could be February and I would very much like it to be February," he said, through an interpreter.
"I was ready to fight on the 23rd but since Fury got some injuries in the last fight, a knockdown, then probably it will be postponed to next year."
Oleksandr Usyk
While Usyk is the current WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO titleholder, Fury is the WBC champion.
Usyk vs Fury fight
The long-awaited on-off bout would be the first in the four-belt era and the first to crown an undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.
Usyk defended his championships against Anthony Joshua in a rematch from their 'Rage on the Red Sea' bout last year in Jeddah.
In their first fight in September of 2021, he defeated AJ and won Joshua's belts in London.
