In the upcoming March 18 governorship election, the Labour Party (LP) chapter in Ogun State has endorsed incumbent Governor Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Governor Abiodun announced the endorsement of the Labour Party, led by its National Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Arabambi, on his Twitter page, characterizing it as a significant victory for him and his party.
There is no candidate for governor from the Labour Party in this state.
The complete support of the main opposition party's leaders, in the opinion of Governor Abiodun, shows how successfully the initiatives, plans, and regulations that have defined Ogun State under his leadership have been received by all, regardless of political affiliation.
He said, “The Executive members and leadership of @NgLabour in Ogun State have endorsed and declared their support for our re-election bid. This is a BIG Win for us and our great party, the @OfficialAPCNg in Ogun State.
“Crucial as it is, this total endorsement by leaders of the frontline opposition party is a clear statement on how well the projects, programmes, and policies that have shaped Ogun State under our Administration sits well with all and sundry, even across party lines.
"We are not ungrateful for this public's unqualified and objective approval, which will further portray the level of public support for our inclusive governance strategy.
