Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has approved the payment of gratuities to the pensioners on the payroll of the Local Government Staff Pension Board who retired in 2010.
This information was contained in a notice signed by the acting Secretary of the Local Government Pension Board, Mary Arewa.
She said, the government had invited the pensioners for screening, holding between August 26 and 30, 2024.
Arewa explained that the screening would hold from 8 am to 4 pm daily at the Local Government Staff Pension Board, Pension House, Kings Square, Benin City.
“I am directed to inform you that the Executive Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has graciously approved the payment of gratuities to the pensioners on the payroll of the Local Government Staff Pension Board who retired in 2010.
“The affected pensioners are invited for a screening exercise scheduled to be held from Monday 26th to Friday 30th August 2024 at 8am – 4pm daily in the Local Government Staff Pension Board, Pension House, Kings Square, Benin City.
“The pensioners are requested to present the following documents: Letter of Retirement; Pensioner Biometrics; Pension Identity Card and Pay Advice. Your presence is highly essential, please,” Arewa said.
